Follow the below steps to learn more about your competitors’ content and social strategies.

Step 1:

Use a domain search to find articles with the most engagement on social media. Pay attention to the platforms that have had the most shares or engagement. Use filters to narrow down results.

You might also want to Analyze the Headlines of these top-performing articles to see what has made them popular or shareable. You should also be able to see the sentiments of these top headlines.

Step 2:

Use the Sentiments filter to see the kind of sentiments that have worked best for your competitor. Example: Buzzfeed.com has 12,829 positive articles, 4375 negative articles and 1301 neutral articles. It is very clear that Positive articles are working best for them.

Step 3:

Use Insights to look at how your competitor has performed over a period of time. This should tell you when they’ve had peak engagements and when they’ve received low shares. Use filters to narrow down engagement metrics.

Click on Content Analysis in Insights which will show you engagement metrics on different platforms based on the content type, day published, content length and title length.
